Error while updating svn repository

IMT2016050 Biswesh Mohapatra
Hello,

I am working on PT_Assistant plugin for GSOC 2018. I got an error while I did svn up -

At revision 34194.
svn: E205011: Failure occurred processing one or more externals definitions

  1.

When I searched on the net, the only solution they gave was to delete the previously checked out branch and checkout again. Is there a better solution for the problem?

My last commit was 34184 while the latest revision is 34194.

Kindly advise me on the steps that are required to resolve the issue.

Regards
Biswesh

I know that this tool (with exactly this set of options, as seen on the
image) helps in most cases:

https://tortoisesvn.net/docs/release/TortoiseSVN_en/tsvn-dug-cleanup.html

However it's a Windows GUI app, so you might need to find corresponding
way in CLI for example:

http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.7/svn.ref.svn.c.cleanup.html

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for the reply. I tried out the command svn cleanup. But it didn’t help. Also can I know what might be the reason for such an error?

Biswesh

Hi Biswesh,

Was that all you got, no other messages which external has the problem?
What does a "svn status" show? Without more context it is not possible
to know what the problem is. Externals are links to other repositories
or paths in the same repository. The plugins tree has many externals
defined (X in status). Any of them could cause the error message.

Regards,
Holger

Hello Holger,

Thanks for the reply. It is working fine now. I deleted the previous repo and checked out the branch again. Unfortunately I don’t have any record of the svn status of that time.

Biswesh
