Incompatible projection?

When looking at most of europe, the street map drawing do not match
the landsat image below it.  Have a look at

Projection incompatibility?

At very large scales, yes.

Go look at Europe on google maps satellite and street data matchup at
that scale and smaller, its worse. For added effect, find the google
maps transparency thing with one layered on top of another.
