Thank you for bringing up the issue. The official documentation also
misses out on that point:
http://dev.overpass-api.de/no_frills.html#minute_updates

Please use the content of the file $DB_DIR/replicate_id
An alternative could be to use the script bin/fetch_osc_and_apply.sh
which reads the content of that file automatically.

I have fixed the documentation.
