Tagging of Loch Katrine

Roger Calvert
In a recent visit to the area, I noted that Loch Katrine (http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=56.251373291015625&lon=-4.4858551025390625&zoom=13) did not appear as a lake at some zoom levels on my GPS. Other nearby lochs were OK.

On return, I find that it does not appear as a lake in Potlatch II, though it does in the default OSM view.

There are seven 'outer' elements in the named relation, some of which are very short, but appear to be joined correctly. Most of them have no tags at all.

Can anyone see the problem?

Regards,

Roger

Open this relation analyzer and put the relation id of your multipolygon:
http://analyser.openstreetmap.fr/cgi-bin/index.py

relation-id: 1463708

see: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/1463708

Your rendering issue is perhaps in one of the "inner" parts reported
by the analyzer. Don't forget that you will have to update your GPS
data after the correction.

Thank you Pieren - there was certainly an error there - part of an island had been made a inner member of the relation, as well as the whole island. I have corrected this, but the rendering issue seems to be a bit more fundamental.

Richard Fairhurst, thanks for the explanation of why Potlatch 2 does not render this. Perhaps it will be resolved one day! At least I am aware of it now.
