bug in transparent map?

ligfietser
I dont know if this is a bug or a setting that I haven't used correctly,
but if I use --transparent in combination with some lines that are also present in the overview map levels,
they are visible at lower zoom too:

The thinner lines need to be rendered only in the overview map levels.
Somehow you can still see the overview map behind the normal tiles in Mapsource/Basecamp.

In my lines style I have the following lines:

route=hoofd  [0x10601 resolution 15-18 continue]
route=hoofd  [0x10602 resolution 19]
route=alternatief  [0x10603 resolution 15-18 continue]
route=alternatief  [0x10604 resolution 19]

options file

levels = 0:24, 1:23, 2:22, 3:20, 4:18
overview-levels = 5:17, 6:15, 7:14

This is probably only problem of Mapsource, you see overview map because
detailed map is transparent. I get similar results when using cgpsmapper.

I think you need background object to hide overview map. Try for example
create non-transparent map and then only set transparency flag in img.

Hi Minko,

I am not sure if the transparent flag has a meaning in overview maps,
but it is not set in r2998. The attached patch for trunk changes this.

A compiled binary is here:
http://files.mkgmap.org.uk/download/176/mkgmap.jar

Please let me know if it solves your problem.

Gerd

Thanks for your help Gerd, but it didnt solve the problem.
With some workarounds I can live with this issue though.

Thanks Andrzej,
Your method works.
First create the map without --transparent and install it in Mapsource.
Then set the transparency flag on the img with gmaptool.
This method doesn't show the ovm lines underneath anymore.
