bug on Kosmo 2.0 RC1

Giuseppe Aruta
Hi
I load a view with EPSG:4326 (WGS84) crs, then I load a file with EPSG:32632 (WGS84 UTM32N): when I try to reproject and apply a transformation to the file, Kosmo 2.0 simply shuts down.
I post the log file.
thanks
Giuseppe

did somebody try to port Openjump plugins into Kosmo?

Giuseppe Aruta
Hi all developers and users,
since Kosmo and Openjump share many libraries, my question is if other developers were able to port Openjump plugins into Kosmo. Is it available a sample with source code?
I want to add some Kosmo vs Openjump identical samples into Openjump plugin developer list (http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/jump-pilot/index.php?title=Plugins_for_OpenJUMP). This would probabily have a great benefit to developers of both comunity to shares methods on how proigramming new functionalities.
regards

Giuseppe Aruta

Good morning Giuseppe.

Could you send me the file that is causing this error to my personal
email to check it? The log file doesn´t show anything to me because it
seems to be a JVM crash. Please check also if there is a *.log file in
the bin directory, when the JVM crashes it generates a log file in that
directory.

Regards,

Good morning Giuseppe.

Here in SAIG we've ported some OpenJump plugins into Kosmo. I'll revise
them and post some examples as soon as possible.

The main differences between the OJ and Kosmo that could affect the
plugin code are three:

- The way to access to the data from the layer (I think this is the main
one)
- The GUI components and dialogs
- The layer styles

There are also a lot of methods in the common classes that we've added
by our needs in the development in any of the projects we've made based
on Kosmo - Desktop (while OJ keeps the base Jump code clean of changes
except for bug fixes, Kosmo - Desktop has changed and extended the base
classes as necessary).

Regards,

ECW problem on Kosmo 2.0 RC1 Windows

Giuseppe Aruta
In reply to this post by Sergio Baños Calvo
Hi,
I was not able to load ECW file on Kosmo 2.0 RC1 for Windows, while there is no problem on the same Kosmo version for Linux:it loads ECW with no problem.
Anyhow, how did I solve it on Linux: I substituted ermapper.jar file from Kosmo 2.0 directory (Kosmo/bin/libs) with original Kosmo 1.2 one.
Now it works fine and I can visualize ECWs with no problem in Windows.

On the other hand I have to thank saig team to have added ECW reading on Kosmo 2 for Linux, AFAIR version 1.2 doesn't handle them

Giuseppe
