perl tilesGen.pl once, what does it do ?

shirish शिरीष
Hi all,
I made some more changes to the defaults and then tried using the
perl tilesGen.pl to see what it does.

This is the output as it came on the CLI :-

~/t@home$ perl tilesGen.pl once
- Using working directory /home/shirish/t@home
- Using process log file tah-process.log
- OptiPNG version 0.6.4
- pngnq version 1.0
- Java version 1.6 is available
- ImageMagick version 6.6.9 (lowzoom enabled)
- rendering using or/p
This is version 23290 (Vizag) of tilesgen running on linux, ID: 30994
- rasterizing using SVG::Rasterize::Engine::Inkscape
* Take care to manually backup your inkscape user preferences
if you have knowingly changed them.
Some tilesets will cause inkscape to clobber that file!

It actually started with z12 and now is at z16 (z stands for zone or
something else ? )

This is the ouput it generated at tah-progress.log and just stands there.

htop showed me that inkscape was taking most of the memory (as is/was
expected).

What I am curious about is where :-

a. Are the images kept for reuploading ?
b. Is there anyway to pause the perl script or is does it have to go
on indefinitely ? Is there something similar to boincmgr in tiles@home
project which would let me know how long till  perl tilesGen.pl once
runs its course. I'm sure there is an ETA for the job to be finished.

Looking forward to guidance and info.

A> There is a config option I think to not delete images after uploading
B>  As far as I'm aware, the answer to both of these is 'no'.
